Our organization is a mix of students, young professionals, consecrated church leaders and missionaries who have invested time and effort into building deep relationships with young people to be the change they desire to see in themselves, their homes, churches and communities. We know that leaders are not born; they are made. we are trying to enable a new generation of leaders, some of whom have already shown potential, who in Mrs. Whites words, can put new life into old methods of labor, and can invent new plans and new methods of awakening the interest of church members and reaching the men and women of the world… (MR311.33). About UsSouth Asia Youth for Jesus (SAYJ), a young adult led supporting ministry of the Seventh-day Adventist (SDA) Church, was founded by a multicultural group of committed SDA young people in the US and India to ignite the same passion for a deeper relationship with Christ among South Asian young people around the world.
"SAYJ has helped me develop my communication skills as well as strengthen my spiritual life. With SAYJ I have been able to create stronger bonds with my friends and also make new friends. It’s become a platform for me to seek help from its members on various issues and also share my experiences. Beyond learning through the exchange of ideas, it has helped me share the love of God through little deeds and projects such as free tutoring for underprivileged children in my village." - Vivek, Nepal
